Old Everton Pictures

.....cheers, Esk. I had family that lived in nearby Thornton Heath when I was a kid and it was a base for the '66 and '68 Cup Finals. My uncle took me to palace in the mid-60s. More recently I went to Croydon for a meeting in work, train took me through Thornton Heath and shortly after I saw Selhurst on the left. Its built up, is the athletics track nearby?

Athletics track is further to the north (about a mile)and is actually in Crystal Palace Park.

Selhurst is one of my favourite grounds, used to love standing on the open terrace (to the left as the tv cameras look)

My Great-Grandfather is second left, back row.

You grew the same 'tache last Movember.

The two recent pictures i've posted;
The Alex Young one I think is against Birmingham (note no Liver Bird crest on the opposition shirts)
The last photo is Howard Kendall scoring against Colchester Utd in the FA Cup. we played in amber and blue shorts. I think we won 5.0
Colchester knocked out the mighty Leeds in the previous round. Colchester got a standing ovation at Goodison at the end of the match
