Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!

Somehow Klopp's teeth were not shining as brightly last night.
To lose six finals in a row is quite something.
On a personal note I do feel sorry for Karius but overall it was just wonderful because
I was convinced they were going to win and I had been preparing myself for that... the relief !

Their performance proved to me that they are so dependent on Salah and a fully firing Mane, without them they are Southampton. Love the way none of their players consoled Karius at the end, he may be gash but I thought 'they never walked alone?' Insipid, superficial, entitled.

Noticed that too! It was Gareth Bale, who should’ve been celebrating scoring the greatest ever champions league final goal, who was consoling him! Also note that except Mane it was Ronaldo who consoled Salah after getting injured... but yeah they never walk alone :)

The GK blunders cost them especially the first gifted goal which put Liverpool on the back foot. However it also showed that their squad is lacking.

Bales first goal will go down as one of the best if not the best goal in CL history, well in CL finals.

I feel sorry for Salah, I take no pleasure in seeing players get badly hurt. I also do not think that was an innocent challenge by Sergio-Ramos. If that had been done to a key Everton player we would be fuming ans calling for a red card let us be honest about that.

Being honest, I thought it was hilarious...having seen comments from RS I know about the likes of Seamus/McCarthy leg breaks et al I have no sympathy whatsoever. Challenge wasn't innocent I agree...but never a red card imo

Just because the RS behave like tits does not mean we should follow, leave them in the gutter where they belong.

Honestly think it was 50/50. Salah was an idiot for linking arms with one of the strongest most experienced CBs in the game, it’s the equivalent of a CB lunging in on Ronaldo, Hazard etc. and not expecting them to go down and win a pen, and judgement. Of all their players I don’t really have a problem with Salah too except he plays for them, seems a genuine good guy and a great player and you don’t like to see players get injured just before the World Cup but I don’t think Ramos did much wrong there, not even a booking imo and the ref agreed on the night

Great isn't it - that lot have lifted the trophy five times, but in the pre-Heysel era, the European Cup was about as competitive as today's SPL. Then there's 2005, where the RS qualified via fourth spot... not as "Champions" and won it on penalties.

I'll happily listen to all the gloating when the RS win the CL as PL champions, without the aid of penalties. And while we're on the topic of penalties, that lot harp on about 23 years.. blah blah blah... but 2003 is still the last time the RS won any final without penalties.

Another thing that amuses me is the facebook nobbery of my facebook friends "we've won it five times" - no I'm sorry, YOU ain't won shazbot. You were either not born or in infancy when the RS went on that mad run between 77 and 84... when it was as competitive as the SPL.

I wouldn't mind Liverpool winning trophies (as long as EFC weren't knocked out along the way) if their fans were sound. But no. That lot are beyond redemption.
