No I'm not saying that they should play DM, however with no Neville in midfield, Fellaini would slot right back in with Gibson, continueing to build on their midfield partnership. This would give us three obvious options:
- Pienaar moved into AMC with Gueye on the left
- Ossie moved into AMC with Barkley on the right
- Barkley put in the AMC position
All options that I would prefer to Neville being in midfield.
I'm not disagreeing with you on this post on the whole but Gueye has already shown himself up to be a one dimensional bottler against Liverpool. Why would he be any good against Manchester United at Old Trafford? He's quite an average player to be honest.
Barkley is going to be special but it isn't the time to go throwing him in at OT. As much as I want to see him, I thought Moyes got his team selection quite spot on.
