Im happy to get an away win in Europe and be sat top of the group.

Stay there and we will be drawn against a third place team from another group in the next round, second gets us a Champions League reject.

Five on the bounce after the derby, were sound again.

It was a good result but not a great performance. We did enough to besat them, but they werent a great side.

Im over the moon but one thing that stuck out was what we have all been saying- we need a decent central midfielder who can put his foot on teh ball and dictate play.

Osman- I really want this guy to be good, I really do but we are seriously carrying the guy. He is so light weight it frightens me. He can be neat and tidy and give a nice two yard pass or a flick, but there is no substance to his game.

Great result- bring on Chelsea- WE CAN DO EM!

Victor Anichebe came off the bench and in with 15 minutes remaining completely destroyed a gallant Nürnberg side to secure a crucial victory for Everton.

Some of the articles on newsnow are great...

We were quite lucky to win to be honest. There were no creativity and all the players seemed average. Mu MOTM goes to Anichebe. Turned the match around and a job excellently done in the last 15minute!

hot damn

Howard was great today

very nice to see the team progressing

Made some great decisions, good clearences aswell, and he did well to cooly clear the ball when pienaar decided to chip him the ball hwen there were striekrs near by!!

Just finished watching on DVR.

1) Micknick: Nail meet hammer on your comments about Ossie.

2) Fozzy: Yes, I noticed Howard's blasts with both feet.

3) Tough for me to figure who my MOM is so I'll go with Arteta although it's been said that his set pieces tonight were absolutely horrid. Rough night for him.

4) Pienaar's work rate was great but almost blew in front of our box in the first half.

5) Valente was solid in back. That's why you give players playing time so that when they're needed, they're fit and in match condition.

6) Anichebe growing each game. Great to see.

All other comments I can think of have already been stated so I'll leave it at that.

Nurnberg boss Hans Meyer was furious after the final whistle claiming the defeat had been self-inflicted. 'This was a self-made loss,' he raged. 'I can't believe we put our slowest man, Glauber, against one of the fastest players in England. 'Shall I now beat the hell out of Glauber because he was too slow to keep up with his opponent? No. I think we played very well but we lacked discipline and got confused after their substitutions. That is very annoying.'

I think Glauber should have the hell beaten out of him. I am surprised that is a foul, as it was less blatant than the stain's 'tackle' on Lescott in the derby, and that didn't get called ;)
