I’m gonna shock you here, but instinctive stuff like breakaways are much more individual than sustained possession or anything off the ball.

You see some 5 year old kids who just ‘have it’. Course it can be coached, but making the final decision on a break is massively more on an individual than the coach.

Breaks in football are not massively dissimilar to breaks in other sports like basketball and hockey and those sports coach those aspects of the game. But football it can’t be done? Miss me with that.
