Everton had the better of the chances at Wilford Lane under the watching eye of Roberto Martinez. Ex Blues favourite Andy King was also in attendance.

I went along to the game, Roberto only watched the second half and Everton weren't quite as good after the break. He will get good feedback from Stubbs on Coner Grant and McAleny, both excellent. Matty Kennedy grew into the game and looked dangerous. Both centre backs, Pennington and Browning looked very composed.

Everton lined up with the same formation adopted by the first team in the two friendlies. Played the ball well, all about possession and using the flanks.

A good work out, all that was missing was a goal.
