By the end of August you'll know whether something has changed or not.

I look at what goes on at Everton only one way: with the view that without a true game changing buyout we'll see the same old same old.

We have new players in early. That should happen every summer but doesn't. We'll see that cash made up from sales. Now that;s all besides what we can do on the field next season which may be better than we did last season. But it soesn't detract from the point that we are in the same position as a club.

By your very own words something has changed.

What's all the shouting about net spending? Surely if we sell Lukaku for £80million a d Sandro is bought fort £5million, then that's good business? Well if he'd scores goals.

Last five seasons net spend:

Liverpool £122M
Arsenal £206M
Chelsea £206M
United £369M
City £403M

...Spurs £1M...but over last decade £107M

THAT is why net spend is so important.

Want to be at the top table? Then this club's owners have to put their hands in their pocket and prove their ambition.

It's as simple as that.

Big net spends or we may as well have Kenwright back.

Errrr mate, Spurs have been the most consistent there for a few years and have a £1M net spend.

Your point is invalid

Interesting that you missed out Leicester from the figures.

Err that bull mate, all top 7 clubs have made a profit over the last 5 years so what you put is total rubbish as normal
