I was in the same boat as you regarding Moyes being lucky. But I think @roydo cleared the confusion very proficiently.

Wasn't Moyes' biggest fan, but imagine Kenwright had of brought someone like Martinez in, in 2003. We'd have been relegated.

The money Kenwright gave Moyes to 'strengthen' was a disgrace.
