little curly alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
I did actually say this in the wake of the Villa debacle .

This season , with the Striker thing , BEFORE Jan' anyway , will be make do and mend , to a large extent .

Today , against the Mancs , first half especially , we played to our strengths . We need to do this more often , but we , as fans need to understand the whole , Marathon not a Sprint , ethos .

There are areas to work on . But let's remember where we have come from . The Mancs , Chelsea , Arsenal , the RS , even Shitty , ALL now respect us as equals .

Despite the start to the Season , this is NOT Car Crash TV .

Stand on me .

Like the ethos of the post LCAB, but I have to say if a City fan ever came up to me and said "I now respect you as an equal", he'd be picking his teeth up off the floor.

This. Theyll as the rs still look down on us

But i dont think they see us as equals either. A tough side that plays good football, but an easy team to suss with a rocky back 4 and toothless upfront

Until we get a win, look solid as a team, and plough on were lookin like a top 8 team than anything like a top 4 side.

With a decent striker, we'd be a very good team.

FFS. Why are we so skint?? £15million and we'd be sorted :(

Kenwrong out!!

Much to improve on, presently we are to one dimensional in the final third, not a threat offensively centrally and look weak enough at the back. We're vulnerable on the break as well the frustrating thing is that these have been weak elements to our game for the past year.

I think we do have some resilience in the squad to deal with that though, Yak should start every time, we looked berfefit of guile and varience untill he came on, he also gae us power and presence and a threat/penetration centrally. Fellaini, Baines, Jags and Pieaar were excellent yesterday. Fellaini is begining t play his way into the form that is going to make one of the best midfeilder in Europe, he was involved in everything yesterday and what an engine that boy has. Did anyone else notice the attempted Craig Bellemy piroutte in the first half.

Im dissapointed we didnt win yesterday, we should have with the chances we created and overall how we played, im gratrefull for the draw thogh in the context of the game, hopefully this is the psychological boost to ignite the season.

Is it me or does he try that like once or twice a game??

I agree. The fustrating thing is, we have the players available to improve on that. Billy for Cahill, Coleman for Hibbert, Yak for Saha, Heitinga for Distin and arguably Gueye for Osman and we'll see creativity all over the pitch. It's not like we do not have options,

Desire, passion and character. Nobody in this league can match Everton for it.
