What is this? a forum audit???

as LCAB said, we have done this to death. close please.

xx

Some people want the tag to be true. They wish it were. The only people arsed about bringing the stupid ******* subject up are some Everton supporters. No other **** at any other club is bothered to mention it. It's the equivalent to Liverpool supporters starting threads on their forums that go: 'I know we're not murders, but I heard some feller down the pub saying we used to kill people at European games. Dont know how true that is like. Thoughts?'.

Jesus wept.

Maybe it achieved something by shedding a little more light on a difficult subject. None of us has anything to fear from the truth, do we?

Its abit annoying though when its used to tar by the same brush those that aren't racist - because it is - by the constant bringing of the subject up!

And that anyone who's white is made to feel as though there's something wrong with the fact that the local area's 92.9% white british demographic is "a problem" when it's not. So what if it is 93% white British?

There's economic reasons that is what it is. Not because Liverpool's some racist area, or that the club's racist.

As we said MOST PEOPLE GO TO THE MATCH FOR THE FOOTY.

Hence why I thought it an odd thread.

When I go to Iran I expect to get the occasional stares. But I don't go starting threads about it on here.

Infact I get the odd stare in liverpool!! ffs.

I agree, Matt. But the incident I spoke about happened well, well after this thread was begun, so I guess my point would be that no harm is done by reminding ourselves what ugliness can be found not only on the streets, but also in the ground. Maybe, one day, there won't be any kind of need for such a thread.

I don't think it is necessary.

There are other mediums and other organisations that tackle this subject. (Kick It Out etc).

Why do we have to be subjected to this yet again on here? All because one person felt he was being "stared at".

Or that somehow the people of Liverpool or elsewhere have to feel guilty because its a 93% white british demographic whereas London's - got one that could only be guessed at.

Affirmative action is racism.

Next there'll be calls for cheaper seats for certain ethnicities or something !

Despite all parts of society having poorer people in it!!!

At the end of the day, it don't matter if you're black or white, if you wanna go to goodison and support everton then you're just another evertonian to me, never really made a big deal over skin colour me, racism is bad as well, I think I covered all bases there.....CLOSE THREAD.

I still encounter a lot of racism (is that the right term for Irish hatred?) when i go to certain parts of England. As soon as you open your mouth, you get branded as something. I've been thrown out of pub's because they said i was in there the week before and caused trouble, even though I'd never even been to that pub or even that part of the country before.

Blimey, calm down, Matt.

Nobody has said all Everton fans are racist. Neither does anyone anywhere believe that. I live and work in London and am given "Everton" as my joke surname in my local and none of my non-white makes has ever accused me of being racist or even alluded to Everton being a racist club, either institutionally or amongst its fanbase.

I'll say one thing though, you're wrong about this:

I don't think it is necessary.

The only real way to completely eradicate racism is for it to be challenged by the fans themselves. If someone shouts a racist comment, boo them. Shout out "All racists are thick!"
