I'm reasonably confident that we win games like this under Carlo. Even with our limitations, I think what he brings alone effects the general mental improvement we need to get three points rather than one or none in this type of game.

It's away games against tougher oppostion that will of course prove a much bigger hurdle for us, but that's for another day.

Can't take anything for granted, certainly not, but I think we'll find a way to win here. Another clean sheet would be nice. I'd take 1-0 all day.

They played Friday, we played Sunday: too many of our lads have a ready made excuse there, I fear. Hope I'm wrong.

I watched the Norwich - Southampton game and I support whatever result favours Everton in these games. Norwich looked OK early but I always thought
they'd eventually cave in and that's what happened, unfortunately. They've had the occasional good result against top opposition, but nowhere near enough to think they'll get anything from us.

No, I'm not saying we're top opposition, but we're at least as good as Southampton this season.

I agree. I also have to say that every time I read one of your posts I want to spread some soft cheese on crackers.

Pre match I had little real interest in watching the derby and it was miles off what we’d expect from a proper game of that nature but it has sort of whetted my appetite for tonight’s game . I was even more engaged in the footy yesterday . I do have a little bit of anticipation for tonight’s match .

Has Boris said we can now visit the opposition's penalty area in small numbers and for short periods of times as long as the risk threat is low, or do we have to wait until the 4th July?

It was Pat van den Hauwe's title-clinching goal after 3 minutes at Carrow Road in '87 that I'll remember against Norwich.

Listening to the game on Radio 2 on some rickety transistor.

They are an awful team. We need to beat them well. If we don't then serious questions need to be asked of a lot of players. This is an opportunity, particularly for the midfield, who should actually be playing for their futures at the club. Their abysmal display against the RS was really depressing. Step up or sod off.
