Excellent win for Brocton away to uttoxeter town yesterday which takes them top!

Widnes’ winning run ended with a 2-1 defeat to Vauxhall Motors which really opens the title races back up. I was at the game, Widnes totally dominant in the second half but it just wouldn’t go in. “One of them”, move swiftly on to the next one.

Marine were unlucky yesterday to lost 3-2 to Chester, with both teams looking fairly matched. Chester’s 2nd was sublime, but the 3rd was poor defending.

Marine scored twice from around 75mins, and were all over Chelsea, yet the third wouldn’t go in. A real relegation scrap now.

I went to Haywards heath Vs Hassocks in the Southern combination league yesterday (formerly Sussex county league). 2-2 between the league leaders and second place teams. Few hundred there I'd estimate.

We make tonnes of chances, but we have been playing a Winger (Murphy) up top and leaving our only striker on the bench of late.

Today, for me, should be treated like a cup final for Marine, lose and ill go as far as saying its curtains. Club have assured the game will go ahead so looking forward to making it to first game of year.

First away goals and Win since August. Marine by far the better side and how it was needed.

A loss would have put us 9 points off the hosts, that's now 3. In truth, the hosts were abysmal, nearly as abysmal as the officials.

Nantwich overcame an early one goal deficit to win 2-1. Really good game first half. Second half was mehh.
