Bit of local village football today. Mael-Carhaix 0-2 Trebivan. Not a great standard but at least it saved me watching Everton.

A mate went to your game yesterday, said the ref was a shocker Mike. Not sure if it was sour grapes, his lad plays for Newcastle.

Yeah sounds like it. Though I have seen some generally terrible refereeing performances at this level so he could be genuine.

Nah I couldn’t make it sadly but gutted I missed out.

Just squeezed in the 2nd half of Thornton Cleveleys v Radcliffe in a cup match.

Big difference in class with Radcliffe being in the national league north.

My son was a mascot at Hassocks Vs Lingfield today (6-0 to the home team). He plays for one of their U10 teams. Nice ground with views of the downs.

To be fair it was his entire team but great to run down the tunnel etc even at that level.
