Doesnt seem like such a bad system if the players are looked after growing up, and not left to rot by the clubs in dodgy countries if they fold, or dont pay them.

I guess investments in players are just a by product of football being a business nowadays.

A loan is probably the best way to go if the price tag is high. As people have said its very likely that no one will pay the 12 million for him so getting him on loan, getting him fit and assessing him over the season is the best way to go.

I don't think Manny would mind. If we count up his first two loans he's only been hear for a full season. Another season's loan shouldn't bother him as he gets on with the players and knows he's got a chance of first team football if he knuckles down.

I think Moyes is looking at Fernandes, Bradley and Sidwell. If we got all three I'd be happy to be honest. Put Osman, Cahill and maybe Carsley to that and we'll have some good options centrally.
