Sturridge, Milner and Mignolet would get a lot of starts for me. Coutinho and Benteke would get a fair amount of game time too

Henderson for Barkley. Someone will fall for it.

I think they have a few players who would be good additions to the squad, but in terms of best XI vs best XI, I reckon you could only make a solid case for Coutinho.

Coutinho in a heartbeat.

Sturridge if he promised not to do that cringeworthy celebration anymore

Not arsed about anyone else

Interesting you've picked more than most here.
benteke is as good a striker as lukaku i think, not potentially but same scoring record as him in england.

Sturridge when fit is a decent striker, better than kone in that sense. Rated him back in his bolton days, only slate him because of his shirt

Couthino- unreliable but certainly talented and again rated him at inter. Scores some great goals, but probably wasted over there for his potential.

Can is a really good player in the making, a lot like besic but less scary

Milner- Well we have a cleverley Mcgeady and Barry, so Milner is ideal for martinez.

Don't see why we'd want Milner, we have enough boring one dimensional central midfielders as it is, same goes for Can.

I'd have Sturridge to partner Lukaku and Coutinho to play the Pienaar position (presuming that we never see Pienaar again). I'd also have Mignolet over Howard, one is a very poor prem keeper, the other shouldn't even be in the prem. After that you're scraping the barrel. You'd obviously take Benteke and Ings for the squad over Kone but neither would start. You wouldn't touch any of their defenders, don't know why people are even mentioning Clyne in the same breath as Coleman, completely different class of player. Maybe Sakho as third choice CB behind Jags and Stones but we've not seen enough of Mori yet.

These threads are a but embarrassing though because you always overrate your own players. They've got a lot of dross in midfield but won't rate Barry or McCarthy (probably rightly). They won't rate any of our defence apart from Baines and would take Sakho over Jags and Stones. They'd have Barkley and maybe Deulofeu and would probably value Benteke over Lukaku. They could come up with a line up with three Everyon players in it and in their own minds justify it no problem. We're just doing the same. Interesting to see this time though some of the national media probably agreeing with us.
