We know he is nowhere near the finished article but neither are many of our team and the supposed ones are struggling badly. We have seen enough of his skills and determination to feel he should be given as much chance of a run out as DCL, Davies, Lennon. Just feel he could be a better option but will need several games. Not worried about his defensive qualities because at the moment it is defensive qualities that have nullified any attacking qualities some of our players have.

Best player on the pitch right now. Incredibly strong for his size. We look a much better team with him on the pitch, and we are starting to see much better play from Davies as a result.

..I can see why he hadn’t been getting a game. He doesn’t help his full back out at all and they continue to get in down that side. Saying that, he looks a player to me. Fine header at the back post just asking somebody to get on the end of it. He’s a liability in the position he’s in tonight but he has something about him.

Disagree with that mate. They're playing it down the left because that's what Pogba and Martial do, they pull out to the left, not sure it's anything to do with him not tracking back. You reckon he'd be able to get away with that for 45 mins playing directly in front of Allardyce?

...it’s not just this game, he naturally comes inside where he’s most effective so when we lose possession there’s invariably a big void in front of the full back. I’m not blaming him, he was terrific when he started that game against Arsenal in a central position. He’s a terrific runner with the ball but we don’t see that in this role.
