Hi guys, new poster from Split, Croatia. Niksi gave an interview for Croatian newspapers so I would like to translate part that you may find interesting.

"I've been in Everton for short time, and I'm aware that adaptation process is still in progress and I really don't think that I've played anything special so far. I've scored against Apollon, but my teammates put me in good position, and few more good moves is something that is expected from an offensive player. I have a lot of work in front of myself and I have to significantly raise my level of play so I can be concurrent in Premierleague. Don't forget that I'm not in first plan for league games and that is the most important games that we play and they show the most of quality and status of a player in the club. Until I play in that competition we can't talk about adapting in team and having a good games. Of course, I'm delightful for playing in Europaleague and cup matches, but at this moment, I don't see any reason to be euphoric about what I show on court."

Very mature from a youngster, glad to see he understands that he has to upgrade his game a lot, especially defense where he lacks concentration and often allows players to take the possession in front of him in dangerous area by waiting for the ball to come to him instead going towards. At least that was his major issue when he was playing for Hajduk (Evertons first goal vs Hajduk at Goodison is example).

Cheers and good luck today

Just as I thought, not ready defensively for Premierleague. He didn't have any defensive obligations while playing in Croatia, so he'll have to learn how to stay with his player. Solid perfomance before the goal, after that he dissapeared.
