Feel sorry for him, he tried quite hard and battled well to occasionally keep the ball every time it was fired into him under pressure. He was basically non existent for most of the game but was by no means the worst, the more experienced players around him should have stepped up and helped each other.

To be fair mate, can't expect a 19 year old kid to know to show him onto his other foot - Coutinho has been doing it for years.

It is wrong to single him out for special criticism on the performance we just witnessed, he was no worse than anyone who pulled on a shirt tonight. If anything can be said against him it is that his attempt to stop the goal optimised our whole performance tonight. It was woefully lacking in anything that a professional person should serve up.
I haven't looked at any of the media coverage but please spare me from players coming on apologising for a poor performance, please don't let me read about letting supporters down and especially don't let me hear about a getting reaction against Man Utd. What I do want to hear is that every player that was on that pitch tonight was donating their wages to refund the travelling support on the grounds that supporters had a reasonable expectation that they would see a match tonight and not a complete capitulation.
