was best keeper in Prem and England's number1 for a decent while, Better than Tim Flowers and a Quality Player right up until he retired. I miss having a decent keeper it makes me sad.

It was a pretty forgettable season tbf mate. Martyn and Wright got injured and Turner got sent off against Blackburn so we signed him on an emergency loan.

Probably right. He signed when he was in his mid 30's and he knew he would be a backup to either Cudicini or Wright. Its strange how only an injury to Wright gave him his opportunity here. I thought Richard Wright was a bit average. That said he turned out to be quite excellent for us and it was a shame that he was getting on a bit.
