The Carsley derby was really the Martyn derby. Some of the saves that day were unbelievable. Would have gone for quite a few if flappy Tim had been playing instead.

Very good goalkeeper which we shouldn't have missed out on earlier.

Never came for crosses though.
No Doug but he knew how to position himself most of them saves are a few yards or on his line not stood mostly on his six yard box line like TH - top keeper class act not just a shot stopper he also palmed the ball away to safety, not spill to an on coming forward ref the Leicester at home game!
Th has been a good keeper not a class Keeper , and thats the diference we miss at this moment in time, TBF we need a better team in front of the Keeper as well!

I think Dougie's on a wind up mate.

Didn't he have a horror show at Anfield once? Was a bit of a veteran when we finally signed him. Wasn't in the world class bracket.

Great point. An underrated skill that. The amount of goals Howard's conceded from palming it out to the worst possible place...

think world class is pushing it tbh.

i never really remember too much of martyn which is a good thing - can't remember a blunder in his time here anyway. was he really good for us, or is it because since nev we've had howard, robles, mucha, wright, mhyre, simonson, westerveld, baardson and so so keepers like that?

think he played for the sh*te next door
