Anyway as for the Bolts that was like an FA Cup run where you draw a top team every single round. Hard to make it all the way to the podium even if you're also a top team. Colorado was better in the end, fully deserved.
It's been 40 years since someone last done the three in a row. So that shows you how difficult a feat it is to achieve.
What i've noticed is that this is a brutally hard competition to win. It's a tough long slog from October to April, and the playoffs are an absolute minefield.
I have the upmost respect for whoever wins that Cup, because they really have earned it imo. It would be nice to see the cup go back to Canada next year!

You would maybe have a point had we made the playoffs and brought back Weber and price to play like you lot did.
Unfortunately Weber was finished and Price was out long term and the team sucked.
We kept Ducharme on for way too long. The team improved a hell of a lot once St Louis took over.

I expect we will improve but outside of Suzuki and Caufield there isn't much to us right now.
I was never a huge fan of the Weber trade as I preferred watching PK. I know PK imploded but at the time he looked like he would be part of the team for another decade.

The Wild have traded Fiala to the Kings for a 1st and a Brock Faber. Very happy with that a top prospect (and MN native) and a decent pick.
Yeah Fiala had a career year but so did a lot of players and I’m not sure that’s his level. Either way The Wild couldn’t afford his contract and I will never forgive him for how poor he was in the playoffs

Hmm the Habs are doing a rebuild with a coach and GM, with no previous experience of those positions. I'd have worries there, but hopefully those worries prove to be unfounded!
