Absolutely bizarre that after winning so many overtime games last year, the Lightning are 0-4 in OT this year, and they even started 3 of them on the power play.

We lost every OT game we played in regular season and I think we are now 5-1 in the playoffs.

Glad to see the Habs have extended the series. Would like to see it go at least six games.
Tough ask though. This Lightning is the most complete team since Scotty Bowman’s Red Wings IMO

Regular season and playoff overtime are so insanely different, it’s barely even the same sport. Especially in the division you were in this year, where Montreal was probably only ahead of Ottawa in the quality of their skill players, and you need those players to win 3v3 and shootouts.

As I said about the game 7 with the Islanders, Tampa's ability to close that game out 1-0 scared me and they just did it to us.

Well done Tampa. That's a kick in the teeth. Was nice to get so close after being worried about making the playoffs a month or so ago.

The Lightning were the better team, over the course of the series, and are worthy and deserving back to back champions. It's disappointing for the Habs, but they had a great season. Perhaps Stanley Cup number 25, might hopefully return to Montreal in 2022.

If I didn’t have to go to the office tomorrow I would be on the lash again. I don’t think this Lightning team was as good or anywhere near as healthy as last year but they figured out a way.

Time for still another boat parade in Tampa. Our third in less than a year.

The last time the three in a row was achieved was back in 1982, during the Islanders run of four Stanley Cups in a row. So once the celebrations die down, it will be interesting to see can the Lightning pull it off next season.
