Decided to swerve it this year.

The prospect of Sam Quek and Dermot O'dreary hosting was far to unpalatable.

Reading thru the thread, seems like it was the correct decision.

Dermot's ok. She's appalling. The Kopite phoney.

I never expect to much like the music of any half time show, I’m not really the target audience after all.

But I found all the various backdrops creative (especially the sugar cane one) and I liked the joyful vibe.

The thing is, most people have said they enjoyed the show as a whole. I don’t understand what he said on much the same way I never understood a word Pavarotti sang.

One thing I will say for him is his songs seemingly are all in Spanish and his streaming numbers are absolutely wild. So he’s doing something right.

The fact it’s drive MAGA insane is a truly wonderful bonus.

It did make me hate the kpop fans more. I'm like this hip hop beat is pretty generic but not understanding a word made it a pointless song/songs.
People who pretend to enjoy Korean nonsense while poorly written tunes play and a voice squeaks in a foreign language are THE WORST. Much worse than billionaires robbing the poor, pedos, Trump, and the military industrial complex. The worst.

As for the music itself, I'm certainly not the target here with my music tastes, and I listen to a lot of music. And general Pop and Salsa/reggaeton music generally isn't anything I listen to. It's effectively Latino pop. The music itself sounded exactly to me just like all songs in that genre. It was perfectly fine/OK. Nothing to write home about.

Which is perfectly fine. But yeah, there is some cringe from "lefties" talking about how it was the greatest thing ever. We don't have to slather praise all over it just b/c MAGA are loons. But enjoy it for what it was - an artistic achievement that meant more as a message and production than the music itself.
