NFL 2025 Season

New thread for the real Football season. With the Draft a few days away I thought we could start the discussion and pick which chump of a team from the AFC is the Minnesota Vikings going to thrash in the Super Bowl next Feb??
Huh

Looking forward to the draft to see what Loomis will do. With Carr out, it's a rebuild year, but Loomis is a degenerate draft gambler so this is like watching the one uncle at the wedding who's had a little too much, just waiting for something to tip.

This is the first year that I’ve decided to not get really into the pre draft stuff.

The Vikings will take who they take, they’ll either be good or they won’t and whoever they draft I’ll be excited about anyway. I don’t need to pan through a million mocks and listen to all the mothers basement virgins talk about “RAS scores” and “quick twitch second level energy”.

High RAS score = probably doesn't understand the game
Low RAS score = probably candidate to be a future coach but too slow to play the game

Just draft talent and see how they look after training camp

Same, I just hope the Bills pick up a decent CB and DE.

Chiefs will go for a lineman. Offensive or Defensive I am just not sure which is more likely. If Josh Simmons is still around I would take him.

Looking at the Super Bowl odds its the usual suspects. From the AFC it can only be one of the Ravens, Bills or Chiefs.

NFC looks to be the Eagles to lose. Some questions around the Lions for me, and even more for the Niners.

It's always the usual suspects until we see something new and are proven wrong. Then we change our assumptions and forget we were wrong. Last year the Niners were +600 and the Iggles +1200... and those weren't terrible odds, it's just that we don't know much and we imagine even less and remember nothing.

And the Chefs should go for a lineman. Add some mobile bodies to protect Mahomes. I don't know if you've noticed, but he's a generational QB, and they should do everything they can to help him.
