I dont really watch college football, but if Williams is as good as people say he is, then I think the Bears should take him.

I dont think you can draft a QB at 1 and keep Fields though.
Not too high on any QB this draft. Maye-Williams will probably be decent in a good situtation and will probably look like Young if like Young their No.1 WR is Adam Theilen's decomposing corpse. Taek: if either one is drafted by the Pats, good luck.

Only Mahomes is capable of dragging a lousy offense to 10-11 wins every season. for the rest of the league, success at QB is pretty much has everything to do w/ your supporting cast. Lamar doesn't have a punt returner as a No.1 WR this year. Goff/Tua were on the scrap heap, they didn't get better they got good players around them.

If Penix falls to early 2ns sure. Someone is gonna offer a haul for Maye or williams and you can just add pieces.

You go to Fields and say here is a contract similar Geno Smith's contract, take it or leave it. If he says yes trade the pick for a haul of picks and build up the offensive line and get another WR.

Tomlin walked out of the press conference when asked about contract. He might resign.

If he leaves IMO he'll take a year off.

2 good jobs: Philly and Seachickens - maybe ATL if they get a servicable QB (Fields?/Cousins?)

Also the Chargers is a terrible job. Just having a QB means nothing. Saints fans remember Drew Brees, the cap hell years, well the Chargers are in a worse cap situtation. its another 2-3 years of losing there unless they someone crush a draft or 2.

Really don’t want Harbaugh going to the Chargers. Remember he created a powerhouse in SF with Alex Smith and Kaepernick.

Plus he was serial winner/National Champion at Michigan without access to the top recruits like Saban and Meyer/Day have.

I saw Andy Reid take the 1-15 Chiefs to the playoffs in year one and have not now missed The postseason in 10 years, so I am well aware of the power of good coaching even on bad teams.

The AFC West will have Reid, Harbaugh and Peyton which is an incredibly accomplished list of coaches.

It was a deeply insulting question. Only sports media’s desperate need for content and controversy is driving that story.

Anyway the Bucs beat the hell out of the Eagles and I’m chuffed.

The difference between the Chiefs/49ers and the Chargers is that the Chargers don't play any home games.

Lamar has been winning 75% of his games before they got real receivers fwiw. He’s also a top 10 offense just by his presence. Allen is as well.

On the rookie QBs no one is going to be Bryce Young bad because they all have NFL level arms, or at least to me they do. Young was Josh Rosen bad. The Panthers should just move on. I think Williams hype is justified. Maye less so, but he’s the guy that gets drafted high.

A few thoughts:

Eagles, man
Impressed by Baker, although watched that with Peyton and Eli (the only way to watch football) and they were impressed so I was impressed
Miami might have had a chance at a neutral site, but not that mess
Nobody should play football in those conditions they had in KC
Taylor Swift being a fan is big shot in the arm for the NFL, long may it last
Cowboys, lol, long may it last
Bills and Lions are solid teams and congrats to them

what was Lamar doing last year out of interest?

Or the season before that ?

Baker Mayfield played on a terrible Carolina team (tho its better than what Young had) and played terrible. Scouted the league and thought he'd have a chance w/ TBs offense and recruited the TB Front office. He's still the same player.
Baltimore's offense was a struggle@#$$ last year, and then Lamar got injured. I almost thought the Ravens gave Lamar nothing on purpose to help w/ contract negoitations. Its one reason why no one tried to sign him.
Goff was on his way out of the league, landed on a team that has been building the OL for years and hit on a WR in the draft.
Hurts/Tua/Allen were on the last chance saloon but they brought in players.

Mahomes/Herbert had the worst stats of their careers. KC is paying the bills off, Herbert has no interior OL. Don't mean they've regressed.

Defenses have caught up. Used to be when you pass on 1st-2nd down you faced 2 edge rushers and even if the edge rushers get by you can step up in the pocket. Now DTs are straight up pass rushers so you get 4 every play and there is no pocket to step up into.

Pure run stopping LBs are out of the league as well. Nose tackles/2 gap DTs, they don't exist anymore except in 4th and 1/goal line plays.
