NFL 2022 Season

Absolute nonsense. You’re trying to tell me the 3-7 Browns would cakewalk 2nd in the AFC West. You are off your trolley
AFC West has been a one-horse race for about forty years now. Last time the Raiders were any good was the late 70's. Between then and about eight years ago the Broncos owned the division. Chiefs currently enjoying their only period of relevance since what, the mid-60s?

AFC North is brutal. Each team in that division has six divisional games a season against legit playoff contenders. Take any AFC North team and they'd be odds-on to come at least second in the AFC West every year. Swap six games against the Ravens, Steelers and Bengals for six games against Denver, the Raiders and the Chargers? Of course Cleveland would take that.

Chiefs were a powerhouse throughout the 90s

The 7th best W-L record overall in the league

How many playoff wins did the Chiefs have in the 90s?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Take your eye OFF the ball Kev. Start learning.
You know Jack mate

If playoff wins are the only measure of relevance then the Bungles have never been relevant apart from 3 seasons.

I’m not going to sit here and allow you to shift parameters at will.

Go back to regurgitating stats from nfl.com and red zone

Boring. Again.

I've been following this sport for 30 years.

You've watched Patrick Mahomes for six years. You don't understand OL play, you don't grasp the impact of YAC, you don't watch anyone but KC. You're a Patrick Mahomes fan, not an American football fan.

The big tell is the ridiculous over-hostility you display towards any opinion different to yours. It's not healthy for you mate, just calm down a bit.

I’ve watched the Chiefs under Alex Smith getting nowhere with Andy Reid as coach.

I watched the Chiefs under a host of mediocre QB’s under Schottenheimer fail in the playoffs.

Todays OL is not better than the one Smith had or the ones Schottenheimer or (particularly) Vermeil had.

I know exactly why the Chiefs are the probably best team in the league today via bitter prior experience

25 teams in the NFL would snap your arm off if you offered them the Kansas City starting OL in place of their own, including last year's NFL champions the LA Rams.

What winds me up is that you attempt to portray me saying Mahomes is the best qb in the league as a somehow obscure or irrational statement.

Go and listen to the talking heads on the sports talk shows and the nfl coaches themselves.

Most of them agree with my point of view.

You’re the only person ive heard who claims he’s a product of the OL.

Stop changing the subject!

Every time anyone makes a point, you ignore it and change the subject.

Have you noticed yet that almost no-one bothers interacting with you in this thread now? Ever wonder why?

Apologies, missed your edit. Mahomes benefits from an elite OL and the best TE in the league. He's not rubbish, he's not average. He's excellent at doing what Reid's plan asks him to do behind that OL, throwing 40% of all his passes to Kelce. He dominates a weak division doing that (not his fault it's a weak division, of course).
