Bengals have got serious problems on the OL going into next week. With Jonah Williams leaving the game hurt that's now the starting left tackle, the starting right tackle (Collins) and the starting right guard (Cappa) ALL out.

We're not going to beat Buffalo next week if we can't block. No running lanes = no running game, no pass protection = no passing game. As good as the Cincinnati D is, there's zero possibility of shutting Buffalo out and we'll be lucky to score ten points ourselves.

I think I might still bet Cincinnati because Allen is a lunatic and his screw ups are bound to one day outweigh the good plays. Burrow is a lot steadier usually.

It's a team game. There are 22 guys on the field for every play. Burrow might be the more composed QB of the two, but you can't ignore what's going on around him and Allen when you compare them.

Burrow behind his starting OL would have a decent chance of beating Buffalo, but unless Cappa and Williams both heal up in time he'll have three backups blocking for him. La'el Collins is out for the season already.

Allen might well have some issues with the Cincinnati D, but Burrow is going to spend most of the day scrambling and/or getting sacked. Any team would struggle if 60% of its starting OL couldn't play.

If Williams and Cappa are declared fit to play it'll be a close game. If they're both out however, the Bills win by somewhere between 17 and 23 IMHO.

17 to 23? That seems hefty man, I don't think it'll get nearly that bad.

I mean the Cincy defense is better than Miami's and they still gave Allen fits. I weirdly trust Taylor to figure out just enough to get some points on the board.

Cincinnati's luck is bound to run out though.

I think our luck HAS run out. The OL is the most critical personnel group on the field, IMHO, and ours is now severely depleted through injuries. That weakens our run game and increases the likelihood of Burrow getting hit. If Burrowgoes down hurt, we're toast.

Loss by 17 to 23 IF Alex Cappa and Jonah Williams don't play. But if these two guys can start and anchor the OL, then I reckon the Bengals win by 6 to 9 points.

Lots of chatter on Bengals fan twitter this morning about reaching out Andrew Whitworth and tempting him out of retirement. Also lots of debate about drafting OL early this year.

I don't think you can sign FAs once the playoffs start. Maybe I'm wrong idk.

Yeah it's tough and fine margins. Hit a couple of the deep shots and they'll be alright despite the line. It'll be interesting to see what the Bills try to do on defense because the Ravens actually have done quite well the last few weeks and maybe laid out a bit of a plan for teams to follow.

It's and buts and maybes... I suppose that is the beauty of football though.

Ravens D is incredible. Absolutely top-tier. Bills will definitely have been watching that game closely, for precisely the reason you mentioned.

Sam Hubbard's game-winning TD is a beautiful sight, if you get the chance to see it.

Honestly I think Lamar wants to go. His passing has suffered and any decent WR considers signing w/ the ravens career suicide (tho Brown wanted out and played worse w/ arizona than he did w/ the ravens w/ huntley as QB). Miami gives him Hill/Waddle/Gaseki and he's just not gonna get that in Baltimore.

I like to blame him but he wasn't to blame for last night.

I think Cousins is low on the list of problems for the Vikings. He is an above average QB who has played quite well this season and has often come through when it matters. But in the playoffs, your defence will generally have to make a play at some point. Not only did they not make a single notable play, the Giants were able to punch through them at will and you never felt they were going to stop them on third down. They were shockingly bad.
