Depends if we can keep Niasse fit
Since we last won silverware, the following teams (ignoring the 'big' clubs) have gone on to lift either the FA Cup or the League Cup, while our wait still goes on:
Portsmouth, Wigan, Villa, Leicester (League Cup, twice), Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Swansea
Our horrible neighbours have won either the FA or League Cup on no less than six occasions since 1995, as well as numerous European cups.
It pains me so much to look at the clubs that have been able to celebrate silverware since we last lifted a trophy. Middlesbrough nearly won the UEFA Cup, too!
Since 1995 we've been in what, one other final (Chelsea), right? (I am aware we won the Charity Shield, by the way, but that's just a glorified friendly) Just looking at the draw for the League Cup yesterday and typically we'd have got a favourable draw (I know it doesn't really work like that) while loads of the 'bigger' clubs were drawn with each other... United/City, Liverpool/Spurs, then plenty of other all Premier League ties.
You'd be forgiven for thinking we'll never win a trophy again.
But thinking sensibly, how long do you think we'll have to wait before we can lift a serious trophy once again? It's been 21 years ...
We won't win it this year, but MAYBE NEXT YEAR COS THAT'S WHEN THE FINAL IS LOLThink we'll win the FA Cup this year

Last British team in Europe, by virtue of playing on Thursday, is easily my favourite Martinez achievement.Lads we have the 72 Points and Last English Team Left In Europe world titles under our belts for the last few years, I don't know what you're talking about.

Probably a huge contributor why top players don't want to join us. Yes we have some real good players, but we've made Lukaku into the player he is today and he was desperate to leave, Stones couldn't jump ship quick enough and we were lucky to keep hold of Baines when United came calling, even though he's clearly past his prime now. We're like the Kevin Mirallas of football clubs; absolutely fantastic on our day, but more often than not we fall short and end up disappointing. I'd like us to become the Gana Gueye of football clubs; dominating on a weekly basis, and that'd lead to players in their prime wanting to play for us.Depressing when you look at it like that. We've barely even got close.
Over a 20+ year period we have reached the same amount of Cup Finals as Tranmere Rovers. We have reached fewer Cup Finals than Cardiff City.
Bloody hell, Everton.

Historically, we're a big club. But we're clearly the second club in Liverpool by a long distance - even though the starting XIs are pretty even right now - and we've a long way to go to claw back our reputation and be challenging for honours on a regular basis.
Think you're a bit early on the Leicester callAs it stands, if we were to win the title this season I think there'd be millions of people shocked to discover it was our 10th. Sad really.
But with that sort of history behind us, and the way the clubs setting itself up now, I think any trophy win could be the springboard to a period of sustained success/challenging. Rather than just a one-off like it was for Leicester/Blackburn/Wigan/Portsmouth etc.
Investment, a good manager in place you would hope 2-3 years time
One problem is to win a cup you usually need luck....and we always fall short in this department
This.
We are the unluckiest club in the history of football.
Clearly it will be the club's 2nd Dallas Cup.
YES SIR!
This.

Provided Everton's youth side will be in it again, think I'm going to go next year.
Very optimisstic and without any logical base, but yeh, would absolutely love that to happen.and why not?
