Next Season

Lose quite a few players, bring in some young, inexpensive signings from the Championship, perhaps raid this years relegation fodder for the likes of Vaughan, Rodallega etc dependant on who goes down.

And then fight it out for top half, hopefully with a good cup run in there somewhere.

After a disappointing campaign and the lack of cash in the summer of 2011, what's the fans expectancies for next season?

My expectation is that we'll win something. I'll never change in that respect.

It's been 1995 since we last fullfilled that - and all but four of those barren seasons have been with the current owners overseeing the failure. It's time they just fcuked off - they're acceptance of getting nowhere is anti-Everton.

Do you mean the Blackpool lad? David, is it?

Get rid of Yobo, Yak, Vaughan, Bily and Heitinga if possible, and maybe sell Rodwell if any one is daft enough to splash silly money out on him. Going by lowest rates we could possibly fetch in over £38m for the lot of them, use £8m of that to service debts so the banks are happy for a season atleast and use £30m on fresh new legs, we could use the outgoing players wages on new players and then kick on from there.

I wouldnt mind us doing that but will Moyes be as drastic, i doubt it?!. If he was i'd like us to go sniffing around the relegation candidates, dependant on who went down and be looking at the likes of Rodallega, N'Zogbia, McCarthy, McArthur, Diame, Moses, Parker, Ba, Berra, Jarvis, D. Vaughan, Adam (very unlikely but would love him, would compliment Felli very well in the holding role), P. Robinson, Samba and Rochina (looks a talent).

After relegation alot of those players values would drop and for what we need and the money we would have after sales, if i was the Everton manager i'd go for Berra, big, young Scottish CB at 5-6 mill. Then its a toss up between Jarvis and N'Zogbia, i think they'll be valued around the same, roughly £8m, i think i'd go for N'Zogbia as he as more in his locker (then again there's the likes of Piatti at Almeria who would be going for that price or less i would imagine at the end of the season after Almeria's struggles). Then i'd probs go for his team mate Moses for around about £4m, £5m tops, and i'd take D. Vaughan for free to make up the numbers in the squad as his contract is up in the summer and he's not a bad player. So going by highist price, thats £19m spent out of £30m already so that leaves £11m for a striker. Now i'd be in 2 minds wether to sign a Rodallega or Ba for something like 6 or 7 mill or look to use the lot on a striker on the continent, someone of the likes of Pablo Osvaldo, Papiss Cisse, Kevin Gameiro, Salomon Rondon, Lukas Podolski (long shot but plays for a struggling, crap Cologne side, might come as cheap as £11m?), P. Helmes, M. Mandzukic, D. Mbokani, B. Ruiz, M. Janko or O. Toivonen. These lot are either in the price range or would come within the price range IMO due to there teams struggling in there domestic leagues.

People will look and think its all dream work stuff but if your brave enough to make such changes and go for it, it can be done i believe. I think its summat Everton could do with, overall changes to the squad and fresh, quality blood brought in. I dont think Moyes will do it for one second but id love to seem him do it and use it as another fresh start at challenging for Europe and domestic cups.

Just to metion we are a place higher at the moment then we finished last year, so in that respect we have actually come on from last season in the PL.

I would like a couple of additions - notabley a tried and trusted goalsocrer, a strong start and a bit of luck with injuries. If even half our draws were wins we would be in the CL.

I really can't believe some of the extremely mediocre players being mentioned in this thread. Yes lets sign all relegated average players and we can all moan about how f*'king sh*te we are again next season. Gobsmacked. Have we no ambition I know we have not a lot of money but splashing what we do have on very distinctly average players just to make up numbers is not the way forward, I'd rather he spent big on a player who realy can take us forward especially a striker and a winger.

That's just daft.

Sorry mate. It is.

Sorry to interject, but thats a fact? isn't it. How can it be daft.

Granted i can see us sliding down the league over the next couple of weeks ( our run is very difficult ) our surrounding teams immediately above and below us is a bit easier than ours.

Its kinda subjective though.

Sure in terms purely of placing we have/are doing better. Yet looking at the league its only really because the league is so tight and we have done slightly less worse then most other teams.

But our own performances and standards have definatly slipped since last season.

But its all about doing better than the other teams, so if they're crap but less crap than us so what, we still done better.

But if we'd of played better than last season and moved on we would be right up in the top 4.
