This season isn't over yet, we can still make 4th, 5th is ours to lose and getting 5th is nice money and bonus Europa money

Great to have a positive voice here, but on current form we are 3rd favourites at least for that 5th spot.

But let's believe

Bobby is on record saying loaning players is the way forward, so I am a wee bit worried about that tbh but we may be fortunate and have a couple of kids coming through.
When will people listen there will not be any money for instance bobby I have money to buy players.we didnt need to sell Fellini to buy mcarthey.I have money but saving till the summer and Nowww it's loans is the way forward were is the money from player sales?people should now be asking questions don't you think?

I'm looking forward to next season. I'm looking forward to seeing how RM spends his transfer kitty (all £12 of it). The summer is going to be very interesting with the World Cup and the press linking the on-form player with a move elsewhere.

I'm going to guess RM has a list of players he wants, but will use the World Cup as a way to scout players he wouldn't usually look at.

Next season is going to be mad, i suspect it'll go similar to how this season has gone!

The world cup scares us mate, got a horrible feeling bobby could buy based on someone having a good tournsment but who are a bit gash like.

I like martinez, but as of right now of the people hes brought in it goes as follows

Lukaku - everyone knew he was a cracking player
Dele - regarded by everyone in footy as s amazing propsect
Barry - regarded by most as being still a vital player for a great city side, obvious he could still play at a top level

All those 3 required no money and carried zero risk as loans, good to arange the deals, but hardly great talent spotting and with lukaka fortunate as he wanted ba originally

Of the 5 players we brought in permanently though it been as ugly as a 4am pickup.in the grafton

Mccarthy - great signing no question
Robles - meh, average backup
Kone - enjoyed ramadan, got injured, will be fit again once ramadan is back so he can starve hinself and not be fit next year eithet at the start, 30+ and no resale, 1 good year, not good enough and paid too much
Alcarez - absolute joke, michael owen at united levels of fitness, bad bad decision signing him
McGeady - looks the same as he did in moscow, only now he doesnt even do tricks and seems to have lost his pace, shocking decision to pay a fee to get him in early, must have been terrified city or chelsea where gonna sign him on a free or something.

Overall out of 5 permanents, 1 has worked out, 4 have been between mediocre to turbo injured gash, even worse is hed worked with 4 of the 5 and still only ones worked out well, mcgeady is the worst of the lot though, team was crying out for something to kick us on or give us a lift, in comes a has been/never was fat irishman who has already put down the club showing hes not only unproffesional letting hinself put on weight but also hes not got a braincell

Agree with about McCarthy. As for Robles, he's 24! Goalkeepers keep into their late 20s/early 30s. He's better than some of the reserver keepers we've had recently!

As for Kone I also agree with you. To me this was the worse of the bunch. Alcaraz; RM brought him along for cover, I didn't even expect him to have played as many games as he did. He looks good though.

McGeady, I think you're being a little harsh. He didn't play in Russia after falling down the pecking order. So he needs a preseason and game time. Unfortunately he can't play his preseason whilst everyone else is playing top professional football. That's the reason he's looked poor. If we had the depth there's no doubt RM would had put him in the reserves for a few games, just to get his fitness and confidence back.

This weekend spurs play Arsenal, spurs never beat arsenal, if we beat Cardiff we be 2 points behind spurs with 2 games in hand, Lpool will beat utd, leaving us 3 points clear with a game in hand and utd coming to us, we should win the next 3 games....SHOULD

Given all our previous seasons nearly's with OFM,TGT If so ( and I'm not saying you're wrong mind ) what's the point.

Season 3 and 4 will tell

I don't think there will be a season 5 unless 2 and 3 and 4 are showing progress.

There's only so long that somebody of Martinez's calibre, age and ambition will flog Kenwrights dead horse for him.

Here we go again totalling the points up before a ball is kicked.

We do what we do - or don't... the others do what they do - or don't.

Don't count chickens, don't tempt Mr Murphy ( him with the law )

ONE GAME AT A TIME.

I find it hard to even contemplate what may happen next season with our board. Money needs spending and only our accountant knows how much we really have. Fed up of seeing the other clubs pull further away.

10 years ago I'd have been made up finishing 5-7th every year but that time has passed we are established in the upper echelons of the Premier League but without more coin, nobody will break that ceiling we have hit.
