Both west ham and arsenal have sorted out their manager situation, guess who hasnt
To be fair, neither of those clubs have another club demanding compensation and threatening an FA tribunal.
Plus, you know, it's us.

Man Utd too. Thats how they got rid of Moyes 1 year into a 5 year contract, with just £1m cimpensation if you believe the reports.
As I said yesterday, I am fully aboard the Arteta bandwagon. BUT, I know it's complete pie in the sky and that we're more than likely to appoint Silva, barring any unknown candidate really impressing in an interview.
Yeah, especially a long one like 5 years. There needs to be give and take so maybe have a buy out clause to counter any performance standards.Man U have considerably more leverage than we do, but by the way Moyes sucked up to SAF & bought his crocks & alcoholics, I’m surprised he even asked for wages.
Most real world contracts have evenly balanced severance clauses though.

Disappoint to target Silva,West Ham also target "big name" manager,we still target on 2nd class manager,we fail in the past three managers and they are all "potential good managers",we don't learn the lesson, and find the 4th "potential good manager",why we don't choose some proven managers and take high risk of failure again?
Bit of a simplistic take on it that though isn't it?
Hull were adrift before he went there, sold their best players and provided him with Oumar Niasse, and he nearly rescued them.
He was doing better than us at Watford before we butted in, and he has previous CL experience as well as PL experience.

It seems a bit harsh to place so much emphasis on 3 games in your judgement of a coach to the exclusion of the rest of his career. This is my biggest concern, Groucho.
He didn’t “nearly” rescue Hull....he had already rescued them and things were looking good for them with three matches left.
He had them in the lifeboat and a fairly calm sea to row away in......home to already relegated Sunderland where a win would leave them four or five points clear of Swansea who were playing later that day.
They lost.
Hull collapsed in those final three games....it was way worse than owt that had came before his arrival.
I think they lost those last three games by an aggregate of 13-1
In fact, I do believe their last six games yielded one win, one draw and four defeats.
From memory, Hull ended up further from safety in the final placings than they were on the day of his arrival.
Look. I will give him 100% support if and when he comes in here but I for one do not find his record at Hull any glowing recommendation![]()
Well then he'll switch off mentally to the booing. How is a manager who “mentally switched off” when we became interested , going to handle getting booed off at Goodison after a 1-1 draw?
