What do you realistically think our point return will be over the next 8 games? (i know form will change for both sides) just interested to see what other fans think now after our difficult start to this season in terms of sides played!

Would see us on 33 points which isn't too bad would prob be around 6th going into the new year. This set of 8 games will determine our season.

The Bambi-legged Beaut caused them to concede to Watford last Saturday by attempting a Cruyff turn five feet from his own goal line whilst surrounded by attackers. He was actually fit enough to start that game, so he's probably due another injury.

If we play our best stuff we can win them all. A more "realistic" target would probably be 16-18

I reckon wins against Villa, Palace, Newcastle and Stoke. Draws against West Ham, Bournemouth and Leicester, and a defeat to Norwich.

Be happy enough with that, but not delighted.

I do not fancy our chances at West Ham...they will lob balls into our 6 yard box all game and top-knotted Carroll will be licking his lips.

14 points out of those 8 games keeps us on course for a 60 point finish and a top 7 place. That's where we have to strive to be after last season's slide down the table.

The way the team dug in during the first quarter of the season, taking a good haul of points from tough games, sets up a platform for a decent 2015/16. We're very good on the road and I expect that to continue, so maybe we'll get in excess of 60. However, that has to be our first target. If we achieve that and a cup SF place then we've seen a massive improvement on last season.

Great opportunity for loads of points. Can't waste it now. Sunderland was a great start. Let's make a statement for once, do we have the mentality to win numerous games in a row? (We certainly have the talent to do it)

24 points minimum, really. 40 points from 18 games sets us up nicely to avoid relegation.

The worrying thing for me with this run of games is, we are almost expected to win each of them, and the risk is that the players fall into a 'this is the easy part' mentality. we need to prove ourselves here, prove that we have actually done okay from a tough run of fixtures to start with, we've played 7 of last years top 8 already.

With this in mind, we need to get no less than 24 points out of these next 8 games or we should sack Martinez and cancel Bills plane.
