Next 3 games will point the way

1 point from Reading and Norwich is not good enough, no matter if home, away, down to 10 men etc. This has just put more pressure on our next 2 home games. I don't think anyone is expecting a result from City so anything we do get in that game will be a bonus, but if we don't get 6 points from our next 2 home games we could well be struggling for 5th, let alone 4th.

West Brom: Swansea (a), Stoke (h), Arsenal (a)
Chelsea: Fulham (h), West Ham (a), Sunderland (a)
Everton: Arsenal (h), City (a), Spurs (h)
Arsenal: Everton (a), Swansea (h), West Brom (h)
West Ham: Spurs (a), United (a), Chelsea (h)
Spurs: West Ham (h), Liverpool (h), Fulham (a)

West Brom have got difficult away games at Swansea and Arsenal, especially as their away form is generally pretty average.
Chelsea also have two away games.
We're at home twice and we might raise our game against bigger sides particularly as we're unbeaten at Goodison.
You never know what you're going to get with Arsenal even at the Emirates.
West Ham have it even harder than us.
Spurs could struggle to get more than 3 points as well.

We're all playing at least one other side in the chasing pack and we're all capable of taking points off each other. None of those matches are easily predictable.

Everton tend to do it in hard way. We are good when we play better teams. We are crap when we play Reading and QPR. I hope Mirallas and Gibson are back on Wed. Fellaini is also back and please Pienaar, have your hair grown back. We will be ok lads.

So Chelsea fans want Rafael out already (and I suspect a few of the players feel the same). He could win them round if he can put a winning run together, but it won't be easy.

I'd imagine that we'll cancel out Arsenal on Wednesday to maintain our advantage over them.

Spurs are keeping West Ham at bay but they'll find games against Liverpool and Fulham harder.

All in all it seems like we're treading water at the moment. I'm pretty confident that we'll reel West Brom in once we start getting some injured players back. Do Arsenal or Spurs have it in them to go on a long run though?

Will Mirallas and Gibson be back for Wednesday? Could be a struggle if not. With them I fancy a win, without, draw or worse

We normally play better against the likes of Arsenal because they come and try to pass the ball with pace rather than lumping it up which can lead to spaces at the back which our players can exploit. If we have Mirallas, Fellaini, Gibson and Coleman back on Wednesday, it could be a very open and exciting game of football.

Or we could get tw@tted.

the good thing is we have time on our hands. To be perfectly honest, I think we have been VERY unlucky in the way these games have gone for us; conceeding the 93rd minute, conceeding deflected goals, poor reffing decisions.

There's still a long way to go

We've still only lost 2, and West Brom are yet to suffer any injuries of significant consequence.
Thankfully, everyone seems to be slipping up all over the place this season, so we're still in with a shout.
4 points from the next 3 games i rate.

West Brom have Odemwingie, Lakaku, Long, Fortune to call upon. We have Jelavic and Vellios for 30 seconds at the end.

Supposedly Gibson is close but Mirallas might be another week or two. It might actually do us a favour to have Oviedo doubling up with Baines and to sit back and protect a lead for a change, if we can get our noses in front.
