News of Ex Players

Proper professional was Jagielka, a credit to himself and to his profession.

Just browsing through his instagram off the back of some of compilation clips he’s posted… knew his brother was a professional footballer too, didn’t realise he had died of an OD in 2021 😳

Financial literacy is missing in the education system. One would hope that the clubs now put the players in touch with reputable financial advisors who enable the players to make sound decisions, but in general the number of people with a decent income who don't understand how to invest well is huge.
I’d agree with that at youth level, educationally at least, but once they’re pro’s and their agents / representatives are taking a cut of everything, I’d say it’s on the individual to make sure their best interests are considered by their ‘team’.
