Villa have a chance to bring back balance to the universe.

I'd happily take sixth just for the wonderous sight of the bad replica top wearing helmets crying into the same Sky Cameras that used to love them.

I'm not sure. I know the benchmark is United (the real one, not these phonies) and how they sucked all the publicity up during theiir spell in the old 2nd Division, but times have changed. If you're not in the Premier League you barely exist. Leeds - a far bigger club than those Geordie belters - proved that. Half a season's worth of publicity when they were relegated and then they were forgotten.

Newcastle United for me is modern football personified. Lots of deluded fans who think they are a big club, because of the enormous amount of money spend. Who needs history and success, as long as you can throw money around and pay ridiculous wages to 2nd rate players and has beens.

Alan Shearer, I just can't stand him. Was a great player, but he seemed to get away with anything when he was a player for them.

The Arteta songs during and after our encounter with them at St.James'Park. ******* bunch of Geordie ****s. (n)

Also like Sunderland a lot more and hope they can have a good laugh at their expense.

In an ideal world, West Brom win their two remaining matches and Boro win their last match. Everton get a victory against Fulham and Villa beat the Magpies.

Would leave Newcastle as the bottom team on the final day and West Brom survive. Can't come much sweeter. (y)

They call Sunderland the unwashed, like Newcastle is somehow this great, vibrant, cosmopolitan city.

Fortuna once played a friendly against them during pre-season. Their fans were well sound. Had a good time with them before, during and after the match. (y)

Yes, the White Castles are going down! WC is a really cheap hamburger joint in the states, either great or horrible depending on your point of view. They're nicknamed "gut bombs", so I thought it might be appropriate to label the Magpies "White Castle", or just the gut bombers.

Both apply, Newcastle is actually the whitest city in England (heard that in a Darcus Howe documentary), and it really is populated by Gut Bombers. Also they are known as the Bacon bellies (attribute that to Vim).
