I would love Ashley to come out and say the clubs not up for sale at present time.

Would be the greatest thing of all time just as they get hopes of the Government strong arming the PL to approve a sale

It's honestly funnier if he doesn't.

How do they imagine the government are going to force the Saudis to buy a club they're no longer interested in?
 
It just gets better.

So there’s now apparently 26 MP’s who have supported the idea that the PL should make a statement on the Saudi takeover FPP saga.

This is apparently a huge win and means the Jawdee army are now certain to ‘win’ and the takeover will happen.

This is despite the fact that 100+ MP’s had previously stated that they objected to the Saudi takeover.
It also sort of ignores the fact, that the Saudis said they were pulling out as it was no longer commercially viable.

They’re off their collective nut.

All the Premier League have to do is come out and say “we were working through the process of the directors test and then the buyers pulled out” and then that’s game over, which makes their behaviour especially strange.

I hope they drag the EPL into the glaze of public glare and make them admit that they blocked this because MbS is a murderer and was organizing pirate satellite tv.

They’ll end up coming out with something like, COVID blah, operation restart blah, delayed it blah, piracy and the integrity of the brand blah, journo chopped into chunks though you barmy feckin lunatics, oh and btw they legged it we never actually blocked the deal, so jog on. lol

To be fair our grievance is that we're perpetually trapped in mid table in arguably the no 1 league in the world. 99.9% of other clubs on the planet wish they were in such a position and would say we're a bunch of whingers about it. Our actual grievance is that we want to be part of the 0.01% above us. Also we are quite aware that we're a bunch of whingeing sods about it and can find the humour in it and live with it.

Newcastle United fans are apparently lacking in that awareness and humour. And for this reason alone, the jawdees deserve their ridicule.

not sure that’s the case; most of us are annoyed by Everton and it’s justified because they are so great at winding everyone up

Oh Everton perplex me completely but I never thought to write to my local MP or start up a petition or cry about not being taken over by the poster boy for human rights violations. Hell I've not even pestered the receptionist at the PL headquarters.

And you most certainly haven’t left your underage wife chained up in a basement, to starve to death and soil herself, whilst bothering a receptionist at the PL for day’s on end.

Even Josef Fritzel had more compassion.
