Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Looked like a penalty to me tbh and pretty painful (Trippier wanted him to be subbed). He did well to roll back on the pitch; I’ll give you that.
I wouldn't necessarily disagree but I think that the penalty wasn't given because the ball was out of play. However, I'm not sure what your reply to my post has to do with my post.

Tbf £5m for a shirt sponsor is massively undervalue. £25m is about right for a (potentially) champions league side

Come off it mate. It's financial doping of the highest order with some random company (not announced) no one has ever heard of

You're playing the game. Has nothing to do with status. If would've been about the same without champions league football. You don't have justify it.

It's more than Juve, AC, Inter get

It’s still £10m less than spurs for example. It’s not gonna be a random company. Rumours are it’s going to be Qatar Air. In comparison to Arsenal who have Emirates is almost £10m less

I’d be incredibly surprised if it’s Qatar Airways, you know with the whole relations between the two states over the past few decades and how it still rumbles on.

You know, with the funding of radical Islamic groups by Qatar against the wishes of Saudia Arabia, Al Jazeera and the BenIN sport trying to block the purchase.

Why would a sovereign owned airway sponsor another country's sovereign owned club? It'll be a Saudi company or at least one under their soft power.

In terms of value, it was always going to increase, but the comparisons with Arsenal and Spurs are naive. They are established London clubs. They're known.

Newcastle, for all their success this season, are newcomers to the party and not cemented; genuine sponsors want global reach, a well known name and longevity.

They don't offer that just yet, hence why it'll be lower than the likes of Spurs and co. If they went above it, it would instantly be flagged as a potential breach.

Oh, and Qatar are buying Manchester United too.

Just shows the levels of ego the skunk fans have by being upset over a financially doped sponsorship that isn't as good as Spurs...based on 1 good season in the past 2 decades.

Spurs have arguably the best footballing stadium in the world; they have many world-known talents (Kane, Son etc.) and are in London with all the appeal.

That's before talking about attendances and everything else. Whether they like it or not, Spurs are currently still a more attractive club for genuine sponsors.

They just need to admit they're now in the same doping game City are...as well as they're run by a murderous Saudi state.

Embrace it and be happy

Yep, the game has long gone.
Well the game I grew up watching - Premier league, Sky sports greed and more recently sports washing from morally corrupt state owned clubs who are championed by the gov£rnm£nt and m£dia.
As The Buggles once sang we truly are 'living in the plastic age' of football :(
