Anytime these stories become public you have to raise an eyebrow.

Can't think of many, in the Prem anyway, that have been widely reported before it happens. Even the best journos don't have sources so well placed as to publicise a takeover.

Moshiri happened pretty quickly because we were all expecting those Texans.

The annoying thing is we are ripe for this sort of takeover - City were bought to challenge and overtake Utd - with the Kopites doing well at present why wouldnt some wealthy awab man want to buy us, invest in the new stadium and surrounding Liverpool Waters project and have us as part of a North West blockbuster 4 clubs.

Our owners are fools for not courting interest from the Middle East.

Tbf by the sounds of things the Qatari's are waiting for Leeds to be promoted before buying them.

With these cats the Saudi's have been trying to move into the sports business for a while - the boxing, WWE, golf etc have all started to move over there in recent years and the head honcho has tried buying Utd / Liverpool in the past but the Glazers and FSG have declined.

They are not some skint fake Shiekh - if they don't buy Newcastle they'll buy into another English club imo

They might, but just like us they could stay middle table and waste it all.
I'd rather they didnt get the investment mate, but even if they do, the North East isnt as attractive as the south to foreign talent.
