Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Wouldn’t have had enough games or something

27 games (and tens of millions' worth of January investment) is more than enough for any competent PL manager to make a pretty good fist of keeping a team up. Ten games with no funding wasn't, as demonstrated by going the final six games unbeaten. Just not enough time to keep a sinking skip afloat. Only someone with an agenda or a lack of understanding of football would think otherwise.

Benitez is thankfully back on the market. Would you like him back?

It's an interesting thought. Howe isn't ticking the most important boxes atm but I do like him and I'd like to see how he does after some much needed investment in the side. If we get relegated it's a failure - an all but unmitigated one - and in that scenario I'd take Rafael back for the promotion push, definitely.

Happy for yous and happy for Rafael that it's ended. It was a dreadful appointment in the end.

and in the beginning

They've bid £41 million for Eden Hazard, he wants to go to a bigger club though.

I'm sure Saudi FC will tempt him by offering him massive wages and the delights of Geordie homely Cuisine.
