Incredible how he managed to convince them he was doing them a favour by staying on after they went down, when the reality of the situation was he was a man that had just relegated a team that were about 16th when he took over with 10 games left, who no decent club would’ve touched.

Remember how much of a hard time they gave Pardew, who in the exact same financial circumstances got them 5th and then had a couple of mid-table seasons like El Puliso but actually trying to play decent football? But he wasn’t a popular former Liverpool manager so he wasn’t afforded the same hero worship as that utter fat slug.
