Basically Wraith tried to suggest that the Saudis position was somehow a negotiating stance and that the criticism of their regime was hypocritical because they wanted to change and we shouldn’t hold the past against them as we had a slave trade..........
Jordan cited that Ashley and the Saudis could have taken the PL to court on the basis of a restriction of trade due to the extensive delay. He therefore didn’t understand why they had not done so, and had remained silent with the Saudis ultimately choosing to walk away. Of course this went down well with tin foil hat Wraith and his band of followers.
I've seen that suggested a lot.
I have to say, in my experience of business, I've never known a buyer to pull out of a deal, citing economic factors and lack of return on investment as a negotiating position to put pressure on a regulator.
If you really wanted to put pressure on the regulator you dont walk away, and publicly say you need a decision by x date.
What they are doing is the reaction of a group that realise the money they had hoped to pull out of the company wasnt going to be there, so the interest dies down.
Wraith has lied throughout this whole thing, so I doubt he stops now.
