We lack a defensive leader. All are passive.
We haven't had a proper defensive unit in almost a decade, not one that I can feel confident in.

While not placing all the blame on him, a big part of this is Pickford's lack of leadership and communication: he doesn't dominate and make the decisions in his area.

If he isn't going to step up and lead our defence, we need to bring in a defender who can lead from the back and help ensure we are tight and organised.
