I was at Goodison against Fulham and I had a pole cutting across the penalty spot. A clear view of the goalmouth, though. I think an obstructed view must block out some of the six-yard box and/or goal

What's happened to a bit of good old-fashioned hospitality? The guy has come on here to ask a genuine question and he get's a load of smart comments and then some totally unnecessary abuse post #13 - pathetic behaviour!

+1 :)

Depends mate. Depending on where the pillar is you will have to move your head around when play is in certain areas of the pitch.

^^^ this ^^^

If you're really unlucky you might end up with a seat right behind a pillar, but you'll all be stood up so I'm sure your mates will shuffle along so you can see. As an Evertonian I shall of course be sat down, marvelling at your ability to stand / jump and sing for 95 minutes !! When we score our third goal we might sing a bit.

The obstruction will have you thinking there are 3 teams on the pitch mate, Black v white v blue....

Everton is never full...gates around 38,000 just tell you they don't sell the obstructed views. Once sat right full on behind a post. Incredible. All i could see was a post. Luckily i moved to a seat where someone had not turned up and we battered the Mackems

wherever you are sat in the away end, your view will be obstructed by a fat shirtless geordie bell, who will either be waving a shoe or screaming ashley oooot, depending on your league position.

your view will also be obstructed by geordie bells in fancy dress trying to out do one another in the soccer am whacky bellwhiff stakes, and proving they truly are the kopites of the north east.

it's a pity you aren't visiting the old lady when sunderland are playing, proper decent set of away fans they are.

ps is it ashley in or oot this season? i lose track of small clubs like newcastle and thier strange behaviour, due to your regular spells in the lower leagues.

I like this Fella.

I think they class an obstructed view as - when you look at one or both of the goals (literally in between them) can you see a post / pillar? If yes, then it's obstructed.

That's normally been true when I've sat in different parts of the stadium.

I thought he ticked all the right boxes myself.

Obstructed means what it says, there will be a post or posts that that prevent you from having an Unobstructed view of the playing area.

At least you wont need Sherpa Tenzing, oxygen and military issue bino's though.

It is traditional in this country that away fans get the bum deal regarding where they are though, and we are big on tradition.

Are you all coming like it's a New Years party mate ?

Whats the theme ?

Let me guess.........the old days when everything was actually Black and White, cos colours hadn't been invented ?
At least you wont have to rent/buy any clobber from a bygone time.
If you ever want to modernise your gear, I believe Stoke is a couple of decades more up to date.

If you could bring us some Tudor Crisps down though that would be boss.
