Tbh if this happens for real, he is toast - it’s the only thing keeping the good ship Moyes 2 afloatIt'll be 4 centre halves across the back and 4 centre mids occupying the 5 midfield spots with about as much creativity as a nuns sex journal.
We're away though, so it certainly has more chance of working. Though I feel this will be one away game too many where the amazing away form grinds to a halt
I’d like that line up too but it’ll be togger ball again with the big lumps in defence. He’s gotta get Keane and Gana in aswell.View attachment 344547
Not a fan of Mykolenko but no other options at left back means he has to play especially when our best central back is available.
O'Brien is back and I would rather swap him out for Tarkowski but Moyes won't do that. So he might get the right back spot but I want to rid this square pegs in round holes and play a right back at right back so Patterson who has been unfairly treated given he has done well in every opportunity he has this season.
Having full backs playing their positions will give us more balance and support for the wide midfielders.
Gueye has to come out for Rohl who was very very harshly replaced. Since his return from AFCON he has huffed and puffed but largely struggled. Rohl for me would provide a lot of height and additional stronger passing v Gueye especially if Woltemade who totally dominate us at home.
Another string to Rohl's bow, he could easily move forward into the No 10 role for KDH to provide that "Fellaini" option for a more direct play.
Armstrong was fine at right midfield but ultimately he struggled to support the attacking elements we sorely needed. George is a more direct threat who will be up against Tripper so his pace will give us another option on the offensive.
Making these changes also allows some of the squad to have a rest against Burnley on Tuesday.
