So, what are you doing to celebrate/ignore it?

15 mins to go and i'm ready for bed after a 7hr drive...ok, I got back at 5pm but I've run out of wine...so I might last until 1205

Currently on a bus replacement service between Ely and Cambridge due to rail work. Hotel in Cambridge tonight. Few beers, bit of food, that sort of thing.

Not that bothered tbh. On holiday with the missus and the mother-in-law. They had a row this afternoon (caused entirely by MiL), who waited until I was putting out rubbish before having a go at my missus. I came back to find my missus upset and MiL sitting in silence reading the paper, as if nothing had happened.

We agreed to come away with her as a favour, as she'd booked the apartment we're in last year but wasn't able to go. As no-one else was willing to come with her, we agreed as we felt a bit lousy for her. This is a decision I've come to regret, obviously.

We're booked in for a meal at a local restaurant at 7:30 - MiL disappeared earlier and left a note saying she'll be back at 6:30.

So, in short - my NYE will be a bad atmosphere, meal out and a few beers. Hope all of you have a better one than mine!
