New Years Eve

Not that bothered tbh. On holiday with the missus and the mother-in-law. They had a row this afternoon (caused entirely by MiL), who waited until I was putting out rubbish before having a go at my missus. I came back to find my missus upset and MiL sitting in silence reading the paper, as if nothing had happened.

We agreed to come away with her as a favour, as she'd booked the apartment we're in last year but wasn't able to go. As no-one else was willing to come with her, we agreed as we felt a bit lousy for her. This is a decision I've come to regret, obviously.

We're booked in for a meal at a local restaurant at 7:30 - MiL disappeared earlier and left a note saying she'll be back at 6:30.

So, in short - my NYE will be a bad atmosphere, meal out and a few beers. Hope all of you have a better one than mine!

Never, ever take her away again, narky old cow. Don't let her guilt you into it either just book for yourselves and leave some Saga brochures out for her.

Todays just another day for me that means nothing,dont really celebrate it at all,just another rip off for the people that go out to celebrate it getting charged way more than they should,

I know or think anyway that New Zealand had theres at 11am as certain somehow they are 13 hours ahead [dont get how anyway can be more than half a day ahead],are they the 1st in the world to have NYD,

I'll be heading down to Otterspool Prom to take the for a walk and watch the fireworks over the River Mersey.

I've also been told that the car parks will be packed full of " doggers ", as New Years Eve is big on the " dogging " calendar.

So may head over there for a look after the fireworks ?.

Just finished half a shift this morning, quick shower and change and off to the BIG derby in Paisley. Hopefully I'll be having a celebratory drink this evening.

Staying in tonight (first time in probably 12 years) with a big cigar, a bottle of whiskey and my folks and the dog for company. Couldn't be happier about it.

Me mate and his missus were coming round, but they've had to cancel cos she's not well. Can't say I'm too bothered to be honest.
So the plan is, wait for the missus to get home from work, order an Italian takeaway, crack open my keg of Bitburger what's been chilling in the garage, open the box of red wine, eat pizza, pasta and tomato garlic bread, wash down with copious amounts of booze, then finish off all the cheese and crackers, watch a movie, then bed.
If I manage to keep all that down, have a lie in, then go for a pub lunch tomorrow.....heaven.

Haven't been out on NYE since the early noughties - can't be bothered with the hassle. Will be doing our usual of doing some nibbles, having a drink and relaxing in front of the TV until midnight.
