Starting to come around to the idea of Benteke myself. I'd previously turned my nose up at him during the summer window but we could really use someone like him right now.

It may be easier. More players willing to move to get game time, teams that feel they can cope and therefore cash in on a big money transfer etc

Teams like Swansea etc have found players in January so I don't see why we shouldn't be able to. I would take someone like Llorente in a second.

In one way we are in a good position because we need two strikers. A backup and a starter. Even if we only get a top 7 quality backup in January he should still be a) good enough to keep us up and b) far better than what we have.

We can then try and get a big name in the summer if we have the money.

He was always leaving tbh, he hated every second he spent on the pitch for us.

Get that Onyekuru here if it's possible. He's our player.
Then go spend big on either that lad from Atalanta who absolutely destroyed us or Benteke.

But we had him under contract and he should have been leaving on our terms.

And at the bare minimum, that should have been only after a tried and proven striker had already signed on the dotted line IMO.
