This kid is as fast as an emu!! Ive watched him play a few times as a Blacktown fan.
Has only played junior football in under 16's for Blacktown which is the level above amateur Sunday football!!

I think personally this lad has gone about things the wrong way and should be following the example of Terry Antonis and learning his trade and establishing himself in the A-League first then look at options! I still maintain that Antonis will be a leading Australian Superstar and he will play for Everton in a few years (if he stays injury free)

I wish him all the best but youngens need to learn that football in Australia is vastly and substantially different to that of the Europeans. In Australia soccer (football) is not our number one sport and while you may stand out here, against other kids who have been brought up on nothing but football you are in for a rude shock!

I wish him all the best though!!

Doubt it. The kid definitely has the talent, but I don't think he's suited to the Premier League.

Given what you say, surely it makes sense for him to develop in Europe rather than learning his craft in Australia and then having to adapt to our rough tough northern hemisphere ways, or whatever.

This argument has been going on in Australia for a long, long time. I can see the benefits of both sides, to be honest.

It's not his problem imo. It's the idiots who run A-League clubs who cannot set up a decent scouting network. I've said it before, and i'm saying it again, the cost of getting any exposure out here is damn high, if parents don't have the money, then a lot of the time talent goes by without being noticed. If this kid gets noticed by a PL club before anyone in Aus knows something about him, that's saying a lot about Australian scouting. Same goes for another young Aussie kid that just signed a 2 year deal with QPR, barely anyone has heard of him yet he goes straight to a PL side.

A-League clubs make Everton look like Manchester City. They can't afford to set up a scouting network, thus relying on agents, managers etc.

Didn't Cahill up sticks at a similar age and come to England to play football? Worked out alright for him didn't it mate?

Not saying it's right in every instance but if the lads got talent he'll be better trained and nurtured at Everton.
