New rule changes for next season

A better rule would be (for non-injury substitutions) that play continues while the substitution is made but the player being substituted must not touch the ball or be involved in the play. See how quick subs would be made.
This makes immense sense. The way players have been miking substitutions recently (going round the pitch hugging all their team-mates before leaving the pitch) has been beyond ridicule. :dodgy::dodgy:

"Werzs der no scorin' agianst Libpoolfc rule, lad? Dee Aboo Dabeez 'ave fixed it all again. Itz juss not fur kidda, it realy isn't. Der slave-ownin' gets juss pay evrywon off, lad. Petrodollar FC strikes again, lads". Dee shud be done fer yoomin rites atrossiteez"

Why would a keeper be touching the post when a penalty is about to be taken?

At least some of these rules actually improve the sport, especially VAR coming in. The drop ball is a bit pointless seeing as no drop balls are contested anyway. Really though, the rules should be decided by Fifa and be the same for everyone.

A Welsh player got booked v slovakia for not walking to the nearest touchline when being substituted, it made me think that this rule is in place in whatever country the ref is from.

But bloody bring in stopping the clock football!!! Anyone, just bring it in, stop coming up with little tiny rules that make no impact to time wasting. Booking people has had no affect whatsoever. Managers now are just going to make it obvious to whoever is coming off to get to the centre spot now.

Agreed on stopping the clock. Would surely sort a lot of issues out over time wasting, added time etc.

On the first point, it’s not the posts really it’s the crossbar. Lots of keepers now jump up and down on the line and rattle the crossbar. Doubt it will rally make that much of a difference but that is where the rule change has come from.

Drop your attempt at being scouse....how are the malverns? lollol demeans your well meant postings.

What these rule changes don't solve is the fact that most Premier League referees are a waste of space and are too easily influenced by whichever players shout the loudest.
And let's not forget the obvious bias towards the Sky Six.
