Speaking of kits. Following this farce of a rip-off, will the club be considering refunding fans?

AFTER 22 GAMES EVERTON HAVE STILL NOT PLAYED IN THEIR AWAY KIT THIS SEASON

Everton have played 22 Premier League games in 2016/17 – but have stll not appeared in the club’s official away kit.

Many fans bought the black away shirt when it launched in the summer, but the first team has yet to appear in the kit in a competitive fixture.

Instead Everton have ditched the kit, priced at £37 from official Everton retail partner Kitbag, in favour of a yellow and blue third shirt in several away games.

The black kit, which sports salmon pink lining, was rejected for away games at West Brom and Bournemouth because it clashes with colours on the home team’s shirts.

Meanwhile, the club’s most recent game saw Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey wear black.

However, away fixtures at Sunderland, Watford and Southampton saw the club wear the Royal Blue home shirt, while yellow was used against Burnley and Manchester City.

With Everton playing three cup home games before crashing out of both domestic cup tournaments the club has still not used the away shirt in a competitive fixture.

The decision to use the home shirt and official third kit has upset some fans, who are questioning why the club decided to release three kits for the 2016/17 season.

Fans who bought the shirt and paid extra for shorts, socks and name printing are angry that the club has never actually played in it.

And questions will now be asked about whether the club needs a third kit at all – or if it should sell official club kits if it has no intention of using them.

Erm, its not black. Its dark blue.

I suppose without european football and with relatively early cup exits, there is very little need for 3 kits, the 3rd kit is a lot brighter than the away so I can see why the manager and players would prefer it.

Also the article is a bit misleading, to say we have played 22 games and not worn the kit, at least half of them will be home games, so there have probably only been 11 games where we could have worn an away kit of some sort and the only clashes of kit will have been with the likes of Chelsea, West Brom, Palace and Leicester where we would have some sort of kit clash and have to wear a kit other than our home kit.

Looking at the remaining away fixtures, I don't think we would have to wear an away kit of any kind before the end of the season

Yep - survey completed - good effort by the club to take on board fans views, especially about preferred colours for away/third kit.

Kits are for kids in my book, but I see plenty of adults wearing them, who probably should give themselves another look before stepping over the door to go out - or remind themselves if they are going to wear a top to the game to get a size up next season.

Yep....just done it.
Most of my answers were to keep to traditional Blue & White home kit with plain collar & no silly graphics , Yellow (no Amber option) & Blue for away kit .
All Black as a third kit.
Also kits not look like walking billboards.
i picked the black kits too. The nike one with the golden sponsor and crest. The recent black Umbro number and controversially the black with pink stripes by le coq. We've had some really nice kits over the years, equally we have had some absolute shockers!!

Yep we have mate.
My main concern is to keep it as traditional as possible and keep away from too much advertising etc.
Makes my eyes hurt looking at some of the kits in the French league.
